Travel News for Week of December 23

By December 23, 2018Blog

Hi Everyone,

Disney Cruise Lines is offering a promotion for a 4 night or longer cruise. Take 50% off the cost of your deposit when you book by February 15. Also, take up to $500 off a 5nt/6day package at Walt Disney World for most nights January 1-March 30.

In this day and age, one cannot be too careful while searching and purchasing online. One of the scams making headway is a fake version of your favorite hotel site. Scammers pay a lot of money for good search engine positions, but they develop fake websites that look almost identical to your hotel site. Take a look at the website’s URL. If you are suspicious, do a search to find the company’s homepage and compare it to the first half of the link-any rogue characters, number, or symbols might mean it’s a fake. Of course, you can always use a travel agent!!

Surveying over 3,500 consumers, Travel Leaders Group, the leading travel consortium, reported almost 96% of people said they intend to travel at some point in 2019. Here is where they want to travel domestically in order of preference: Hawaii, Alaska, California, Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, New York, Arizona, Montana, and DC. For international travel: Caribbean, Mexico, Western Europe, Canada, Eastern Europe

Skip and I wish you all the blessings of this holy season. Please enjoy your family and friends.
