Arrive Rome. Tonight, join your companions and Travel Director for a scenic drive before visiting the famous Colosseum before our Welcome Dinner.

DAY 2 WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24
Rome Sightseeing. Today you start the day with a free morning. Perhaps join the Papal audience in St. Peter’s square (if the Pope is in attendance and the audience is being conducted). In the afternoon, we join our local specialist for a visit of the Vatican Museums to see the magnificent frescoed ceiling by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel.

Begin your cruise in Stockholm’s stunning archipelago, nestled where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic. Delightful Danube and Prague

Day 1 Depart Detroit for Prague.

Day 2 Prague Arrive in Prague where we will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to our hotel.

Day 3 It is impossible not to be enchanted by Prague with its fabled skyline of spires, fortress-like castles, beautifully preserved architecture and the iconic Charles Bridge. It has been a magnet for artists, writers, scientists, and composers for generations. A thousand years of architecture, from ornate Gothic to fanciful postmodern, have been preserved in Prague. Famous for its dynamic energy and elegant ambiance, this city is fun as well as beautiful.

Iceland: Land of Fire & Ice

September 8-16   Iceland: Land of Fire and Ice  We’ll visit Reykjavik,  before traveling the Golden Circle.   We’ll experience the energy at the geothermal fields of Geysir and Strokkur.   We’ll have an opportunity to explore caves or lava fields.  We’ll spend some time with a family that keeps alive a 400 year old fishing tradition.  We’ll stop at the Volcano Visitor Center to learn how families survived during the 2010 explosion.  We’ll take a cruise among the huge icebergs of the Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon.  Enjoy the Blue Lagoon or Whale Watching before returning home. Today is a celebration of Northern France’s natural beauty, with an excursion to a splendid chateau and gardens situated in an equally grand setting. This is a chance to immerse yourself in the very landscape that inspired the impressionist, Claude Monet. Visit the hilltop Chateau La Roche-Guyon, surrounded by beautiful gardens and offering sweeping views over the Seine. Later, you can visit the home and gardens of Claude Monet, the inspiration for many of his beloved works. Alternatively, you may decide to take in the beautiful French countryside with a guided bus ride from Vernon to Giverny.

Colorado Rockies

June 13-21   Colorado Rockies    Our tour begins in the mile-high city of Denver.   We’ll travel through Boulder and stop in Estes Park before our adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park begins on the Trail Ridge Rd.   We’ll next travel to Grand Junction, our base for exploring Arches National Park and Canyonlands National park.   We then head south to Silverton and Durango where we board the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for spectacular views.  We will then travel to Mesa Verde National Park to see the ancient cliff dwellings.  Then it’s off to Colorado Springs for an amazing train ride that follows the Arkansas River.   We will then tour the Garden of the Gods to take in the towering sandstone formations.  http://gateway.gocollette.com/link/902382

Discovering Poland

Start date: September 12, 2020

End date: September 23, 2020

September 12-23,   Discovering Poland    Our journey begins in Warsaw where we will take a city tour and stop at the monument dedicated to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto.    The next day we are off to Gdansk, stopping to see the Marlbork Castle, one of the largest in the world.  We will stop at the Gdansk shipyard the site of the anti-Communist Solidarity movement.  Take a guided tour of the town or an excursion to the seaside town of Sodok.   We will then travel to the UNESCO World Heritage site  of Torun and birthplace of Copernicus, the famous astronomer.   The following morning finds us in Wroclaw for a walking tour of this ancient city.   Krakow is next on our itinerary with a stop off in Czestochowa, the spiritual capital of Poland to see the Black Madonna.  We’ll have a panoramic tour of this amazing city.   We will also visit Auschwitz to learn firsthand the events that transpired here.
