When you are trying to decide how to secure your luggage for your trip, make sure that if you are flying, you use TSA approved locks. They are not difficult to find as any place that sells luggage also sells locks. Look for the TSA approved logo on the lock packaging. Newer suitcases often have built in locks and you will notice an extra slot so that TSA can access your luggage if they need to do so. If you try to fly with a lock that is not approved, TSA may need to cut the lock off and may, while doing so, damage your suitcase.
Visiting the Galapagos Islands is a bucket list item for some travelers. If you are planning a trip to the Galapagos be aware that Ecuador will double the fee from $100 per person to $200 per person beginning August 1 to visit these islands. The adjustment is meant to ensure that tourism in the Galapagos remains sustainable and mutually beneficial for both the environment and their local communities.
If you live in Lansing, the airport just announced that Breeze Airways will begin nonstop flights to Orlando and Ft. Myers this October. I really hope that works out as Lansing seems to really struggle to get good flights out of their airport. This will give people another options to get to Florida. The Orlando flights, at least, are scheduled to operate year round.

May 12-22, 2024. Countryside of the Emerald Isle. If you have traveled to Ireland and loved it, this is part two.
