Travel News for the Week of November 5

By November 5, 2023Blog

Hi Everyone,

I know we addressed this issue several months ago but interest is increasing for family or friends of travelers to be allowed to accompany travelers to their gate or wait for their arriving plane at the gate.  Several airports now allow this practice but people wishing to do this must be approved ahead of time, and go through security just like travelers do.    The airports allowing this practice include Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Orlando, Seattle-Tacoma, Detroit, New Orleans, Orange County,  and Tulsa. Each airport has their own rules so you will want to check the website of the airport you are using.

As Disney continued to grow its cruise line, they also ha a  need for another private island to entertain the growing number of passengers.   They just announced that their new private island will open in summer of 2024 on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.  Disney states that it will be a one of a kind island that will showcase a celebration of Bahamian storytelling, artistry, and culture with plenty of relaxation surrounded by nature.

On a personal note, we are still recovering from computer problems.  We appreciate your patience as we are not yet back to normal.  The best way to contact us in the next few days is at lynn@fullertravelservice.com or by phone. The big problem is with our sbcglobal.net account which we are working on and hope to have resolved shortly.

Also, we realize that we need a bit of balance in our lives.  As we move forward we recognize that we cannot continue to work 14 hour days, 7 days a week.  We are actually going to try to abide by  some office hours.   We will be open 9am-6pm Monday through Saturday.  We will be closed on Sundays.  If you are experiencing difficulties while traveling we will be available to assist you quickly.   We really enjoy travel and the wonderful people we have met.  Hopefully, this arrangement will help us be more effective while eliminating a bit of stress.   Thank you for your understanding.
